Walsall Football Club a professional club based in the West Midlands are seeking a Commercial Manager. The role reports to the Chief Executive Officer and the successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the running of the Commercial Department at the Club..
Meeting budgeted sales targets set from time-to-time by the CEO and the Board.
Sales and co-ordination of all Match sponsorships; iFollow Player sponsorships and Matchball sponsorships.
Sales of and co-ordination of all Mascot Matchday packages, Player sponsorships and Matchday Hospitality packages.
Sales and co-ordination of all website and Matchday programme advertising (including the Match Programme sponsorship).
Sales of Executive Boxes both on a season-long and match-by-match basis.
Sales of internal advertising boards and digital scoreboard advertising.
Sales of external M6 Monopole advertising boards.
Sales of 1888 Lounge season ticket packages.
Responsible for the sale of the Academy Sponsorships.
Responsible for maintaining good relations with all the Club’s Commercial Partners and Sponsors associated with the above sales at all times (‘Account Managing’).
Responsible for liaising with and handling all EFL Commercial matters.
To work closely with the CEO in securing ‘Major Sponsorships’ for the Club (i.e. front of shirt sponsor for the First Team, back of shirt sponsor for the First Team, a Stadium Naming Rights sponsor and a Stand sponsor for each stand.
To organise and assist in the sale of Cabaret Shows, Sportsmans’ Evenings and Boxing dinners.
To engage with the Club’s Commercial Partners and Sponsors to ensure all their matchday needs are met; and to work in conjunction with the Club’s Matchday Host, to communicate details of the ‘Man of the Match’ winner to all relevant parties.
Hours of Work
The normal hours of work will be 37½ per week, 09:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break each day.
