Business Development Manager - Not Longer Available

Industry leading hospitality and events company in the U.K are actively looking to acquire the services of a Business Development Manager in London to sell sponsorship and places at many of its prestigious own branded events. The position itself has been created due to the overwhelming success of the business, the successful candidate will work closely alongside the business owner to capitalise on this growing market and drive the business forward actively selling events from an illustrious portfolio of clients to include but not limited to promoting bespoke events in cricket, football, boxing, rugby and concerts.

The role will encompass the following;

Sponsorship: The candidate will be selling sponsorship for all own branded events, with several listed below.

Incentives: The company have contracts with several leading blue chip brands to supply their sales incentives, with a selection of our products and other holidays. The candidate will be targeted to bring further incentive contracts into the business.

Lunch with a Legend Events: Selling places at a range of London based lunches, ‘Lunch with a Legend’. These will see some of the top names in sport (such as Harry Redknapp, Michael Vaughan, Sam Allardyce) appearing in some unique London venues (e.g. HMS Belfast, Cutty Sark, Royal Albert Hall). The candidate will be selling sponsorship and standard places for the lunches.

Long Room Lunch: The company run a prestigious annual event in the Long Room at Lords Cricket Ground. This first event ran in 2013 and has included speakers such as James Anderson, Darren Gough, Nasser Hussain, Michael Vaughan, Tim Bresnan and Steve Harmison. The candidate will be selling sponsorship and general places for this lunch.

Boxing: The company run hospitality lounges for many of the big fights around London and the candidate will be required to sell hospitality for these events.

Other Products: The candidate will be responsible for selling all other packages and events associated to the company, e.g. Rugby, Football, Concerts, etc.

Other Ideas: The candidate will be responsible for coming up with other event ideas to sell.

Estimated salary: £25-£35k per annum (depending on the candidate) plus a generous commission package (OTE £60,000).

There is flexible with the package depending on the right candidate. This is a great opportunity to grow an established business in a new area and we hope the candidate will grow with the business. This vacancy is strictly only open to candidates with a minimum of two years' experience in this particular field and those with less need not apply.
