The new collaboration kicked off as City beat Arsenal 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium and as part of the deal, the Club’s sports scientists will work closely with the Gatorade Sport Science Institute (GSSI).
The GSSI will help athletes optimise their health and performance through research into sports nutrition and has been a continual aim of the GSSI team for more than 30 years, who will be looking at ways to help fuel the athletic performance of City players before, during and after training and playing.
PepsiCo-owned brand become the city's official sports nutrition partner and moreover, Gatorade will enjoy a range of branding rights and will collaborate with City on the development of a behind-the-scenes video series.
