Vacancy - Agency & Partnerships Manager

Our client is an emerging sports marketing agency with offices in both Manchester and London. We launched in 2017 and have so far exceeded all expectations in terms of growth and establishing our new business. 

The Agency works predominantly in motorsports however, we also  work with across other sports such as, football, basketball, boxing and horse racing etc.  Due to our success, we are now in a position to expand further and are looking for a full time, highly motivated and driven Agency & Partnership Manager to join our team. 

 

The Role

We have identified media and advertising agencies as a core sales channel, that will enable us to reach more brands, more budget holders and decisions makers in a quicker and more efficient manner. Ultimately, this will enable us to showcase our unique partnership offering and business model with the intention agencies and brands alike will see the value of our proposition and thus we complete more partnership agreements.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a sound knowledge of media and advertising agencies, understand the KPI’s by which they measure the value and performance of a marketing platform and have a broad view on who the correct people are within these organisations to speak with and build relaitonships. The main objecitive of the role is to present our properties in a way that showcases them as a genuine marketing tool that account managers, account directors, media buyers etc can justify spending their clients marketing budgets on, build solid relationships with key stakeholders within as many media agencies as possible, manage the accounts once a relationship has been struck and ensure the accounts are upated and contacted on a regular basis to ensure our propositions remain front of mind within the media aganecies.

The role will entail a sales and presentation element, with face to face meetings an integral aspect of the position. Once we have built relationships with the agencies and briefs begin to come through, it will be the role of the agency and partnerships manager to build and tailor proposals that align with the agency / brand objecitives and guidelines. There will be support from the Management Team on all aspects of the role and as much time as is necessary in the beginning, having said that there will be the freedom and trust for the ideal candidate to perform their role as they see fit and in some aspects as independently as they wish.

The successful candidate will,

Have at experience in sponsorship or partnership sales with media agencies.

Be articulate.

The role will require conversations with “C” level executives, both via telephone and face 2 face.

Be organised.Be resilient.

Have the ability to be flexible with their working hours.

We work alongside some International brands and clients who will require early or late meetings and calls.

Have the drive to succeed and strive for the highest quality of service offered.

Have an interest in sport.

Have an excellent telephone manner and face 2 face presentation skills.

Be well presented.

Have an understanding of marketing and the different channels available to brands.

Degree level educated

Additional skills desired but not essential are,

Degree in sponsorships, sport marketing or marketing.

The flexibility to travel.

The flexibility to work some weekends.

This will be limited and only in certain circumstances as the role may require.

Experience in working with “C” level executives.

Plays or has played sport to a strong level

 

Job Specifications

Commission        10% net revenue received from commercial agreements where conversation was initiated by Agency & Partnerships manager

Working Hours     9am – 6pm (Will vary depending on travel and meeting commitments)
