Vacancy - Conference & Events Executive

Our client, Northampton Saints, are seeking to hire a Conference and Events Executive to play a key role within the Northampton Saints Commercial team. The primary focus is to process and convert sales enquiries, proactively selling Franklin’s Gardens facilities, ensuring all sales administration is completed to increase and enhance revenues.

 

Main Responsibility:

Provide outstanding customer service

Process enquiries and proposals within business guidelines which provide best value options, whilst still maximising sales opportunities

Follow-up all enquiries and proposals within agreed timescales

Arrange and conduct customer site visits in order to close sales

Maintain accurate records of enquiries on booking systemWork collaboratively and develop a strong working relationship with the on-site Operations Team

Develop excellent venue and product knowledge

Be aware of competitor activities and industry trendsMeet sales targets and KPIs and review regularly with line manager

Contribute ideas for the Sales and Marketing plan

Maintain required sales pace

Provide sales support across other department functions

Attend all Club matchday’s and departmental events

Participate in Commercial and all staff meetings

Undertake such other duties as required which are consistent with the responsibilities of the post and the needs of the Club

 

Person Specifications:

At least 1 year’s experience within a hotel or similar venue

Computer literate

Be a self-motivated, sales and target driven person

Be able to prioritise and meet deadlines

Desire to exceed sales and revenue targets

Good administrative and organisational skills

Passionate about customer service

Willingness to work unsocial hours

Personal circumstances must allow the candidate to work extended hours on occasion during times of peak activity including evenings and weekends
