Job Role

Punjab is the second region where SGII will establish its presence in India. It is critical to have a person who is self-motivated and driven. This role will involve working closely with the Head office in Delhi.

The Head Coach will be in-charge of all football related activities of the academy. This involves  direct coaching, scheduling and overseeing of all training activities for the age groups. This may include the after school/recreational football.

The Head Coach is expected to monitor the sessions and train/guide coaches who are directly responsible for those teams, correct and encourage them and have separate training sessions on a weekly basis to improve their performance. He will be responsible for all communication with students, parents and partner organisation.

In addition, the Head Coach is responsible for working closely with the Director of Coaching in Delhi and Director Technical in Delhi in organisation the Youth League in Punjab. Together with the staff, he will make sure the league is running smoothly.

 

Detailed activities:

YFI academy:

Day to Day management of football coaching in Punjab at all locations (to begin with at Jalandhar).

Monitor, manage and coordinate the work of all other coaches.

Must attend and supervise coaching sessions for all age groups and personally undertake coaching sessions.

Undertake coaching of children who are a part of the academy and coach selected teams from the academy who participate in the Youth League on Sundays when the league is taking place.

Train local coaches.

Ensure proper communication between players-parents and coaches for all teams.

Oversee the preparation and process of regular players development sheets for Centre of Excellence.

Prepare an annual training plan for each age group.

Assist in the expansion of YFI/SGI activities and attract new players/clients.

Set up and execute a marketing plan in coordination with the Head Office.

Oversee all social media (website, Facebook, twitter, Instagram, snapchat etc) in coordination with the marketing team in Delhi.

Take responsibilities of implementing any additional tournaments that are organised by the company, may not relate to the academy.

Ensure all fees are collected on time.

 

Youth League

Supervise the preparation of the weekly schedules and updating of scores and results.

Oversee the tasks and duties of the League coordinator who should make sure the fields are set-up for weekend games and referees and other related activities are ready.

Communicate with teams, sponsors and players.

Skills and experience

Licenced coach minimum FA level 2 with min 3 years of coaching experience.

Experience in youth coaching.

Fluent in English.

Previous experience abroad will be an advantage.

Have managed teams.
