To manage and develop sales activities and the team to achieve increased sales and exceed financial targets in Raceday sales by maximising business from new and existing customers through an innovative approach and always delivering best experience to all of our customers.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the delivery of the hospitality sales budget for the region and each Racecourse alongside other members of the team.

Responsible for the delivery of our Hospitality offer at each Racecourse, through close liaison with the Region’s sales teams.

Key member of the hub team and provide support to the non-hub members.

Be able to maximise revenue and profit through the implementation of the sales activity plan by proactive selling through the sales platform and use of commercial management techniques (EBMS diary management and revenue management tools).

To develop and account management plan to ensure the region maximising all commercial opportunities from key existing clients (key prospects).

Ensure the team KPI’s are managed to achieve department daily and weekly standards, conducting regular one to ones to manage performance.

Keep abreast of competitor pricing, understand the dynamics of the local market and the demand generators, and the effect it has on profit.

To work with the Sponsorship Department in developing race sponsorship sales from hospitality bookings and assist the Regional Head of Sales in developing Partnership opportunities from the corporate client base. In conjunction with all relevant partners, ensure that the levels of customer service for the region are market leading.

To create a working environment that supports revenue management disciplines and JCR operational standards.

Work alongside the catering team to ensure that both F&B and service standards set for hospitality are of a high quality.

To be responsible for the recruitment, management and development of the hospitality sales team including regular team meetings and the conducting of annual appraisals.To plan and lead the business development for the hospitality team. Identifying new markets and targeting these face to face.

Support the Regional Head of Sales in producing the annual budget for Hospitality as well as any other financial planning relating to this income line.

Implement and further develop EBMS systems to ensure effective information capture and enhance customer retention and relations.

Co-ordinate and be actively involved in the Raceday hosting activities as required.

Be actively involved and participate in local networking groups and relevant trade bodies as required.

To undertake special duties or work outside the normal daily/weekly routine but within the overall scope of the position at the request of the Senior Management team.

To operate in a way that ensures you are a recognised role model for The Jockey Club Core Values and Behaviours.

To comply at all times with Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices in accordance with current legislation and as detailed in the Company’s Health & Safety Policy and Proceedures.

To take personal responsibility for the sustainability of the company by minimising waste of company resources including gas and electricity, as well as protecting the environment as described in the company’s Environment Management System.

Must have full UK driving Licence and vehicle as regional travel will be involved.
