Vacancy - Sales Executive

Sale Sharks are one of the leading professional Rugby Union clubs in Europe and the pride of the North West.  Historically based in the Manchester suburb of Sale, but now playing at AJ Bell Stadium, the Sharks compete in the Aviva Premiership, having played in England's top flight since 1994.  They currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Sales Executive to join their Commercial team.

Main Function of Job (Note: In addition to these functions employees are required to carry our such other duties as may be reasonably required)

To generate sales for commercial growth of the rugby club 

To sell packages of sponsorship/hospitality/business club & events

To identify new markets and business opportunities

To organise and run the Business Club on match day Identify new sales leads and prospects

Main Duties (brief description)

Understanding of local/regional B2B markets and all aspects of matchday revenue generation Build local business knowledge and generate a personal network of B2B clients

Prospect clients for new and future business leads

Arrange meetings on and offsite with potential customers

Utilise the match-day operation to identify new and maintain existing business Negotiate the terms and agreement of sales

Maintain and developing relationship with existing customers

Responsible for hitting sales targets set by line manager

Work with line manager to identify business opportunities

Host Business Club events

Fulfil all paperwork requirements around booking sales

Work with other departments to deliver overall club strategy

Attend team meetings and share best practice with colleagues

Provide P&L accounts for all hospitality events
