Vacancy - Sales Executive

Warrington Wolves RLFC is an elite professional Rugby League football club based in Warrington, England, competing in the Betfred Super League. They play home games at The Halliwell Jones Stadium. 

They are currently recruiting a Sales Executive to join its Corporate Sales Team, the role is based at The Halliwell Jones Stadium but you may be required to travel to other locations.  You will be required to work at all home games as well as attend some events on evenings and weekends.

The key focus of this role is pro-actively making sales calls (including cold calling) to generate appointments for the job holder and other team members in order to drive forward the club’s income from sponsorship, advertising and hospitality.

 

What are we looking for

The successful candidate for this role will have experience in a similar position or environment and have a successful track record of being able to generate leads and appointments which ultimately result in achieving agreed sales budgets. They will need to be able to work on their own initiative at times and be both relentless and determined to achieve targets set.

 

Primary responsibilities

Target new business leads by the effective use of relevant databases, researching and analyzing by business/industry sector

Pro-actively and professionally approach prospects, utilising all appropriate media, eg, emails, LinkedIn and phone

Ensure sales databases are updated and maintained accurately, utilising appropriate sales management database

Utilise a positive, professional and friendly phone manner

Agree weekly/monthly target for sales appointments (at prospective clients’ offices and at the stadium)

Agree and own annual revenue targets, in conjunction with the business development manager

Ensure effective post-sales contract process, with all correspondence and contracts being produced in a timely and accurate manner

Spend time to ensure any new clients are happy with the package for which they have contracted, eg, greeting them on matchday, follow-up phone calls, emails and on-site visits

Match-day duties to include hosting relevant suites/rooms, conducting interviews, meeting and greeting clients, etc

Skills/Experience required

Track record of successfully making appointments and sales, through the use of pro-active telesales and face-to-face meetings

 

Desirable

Experienced in working within a professional B to B environment

Experience of the sports/leisure sector an advantage but not essential

Marketing/Business degree or other relevant professional qualification

Other information

The sales executive will be required to work at all home games as well as some events on evenings and weekends. A full driving licence is essential in order to perform the role. The role is based at The Halliwell Jones Stadium, Warrington, Cheshire.

 

Remuneration

We offer an attractive salary and commission package commensurate with the role and experience.
