Vacancy - Sponsorship Sales Manager

Our client is seeking a Sponsorship Sales position to join their dynamic sports marketing agency based in Putney, ideal for a highly motivated and ambitious individual looking to further their career in the commercial world of sport. The aim of the role is to make a significant contribution to the sponsorship sales process on behalf of their rights holder clients.


Role Objectives

Develop expertise across various industry sectors including a thorough understanding of key brands, markets, trends and sponsorship investment

Spearhead initial outreach to target brands and secure meetings

Cultivate a network of key decision makers at brands


Sales Process Responsibilities

Use industry expertise to assist Intel Team with target brand selection

Identify and select decision makers to approach at target brands

Source and confirm decision maker contact details

Conduct initial telephone calls to brands with objective of securing a meeting

Research and produce a brand profile for each brand that has agreed to a meeting

Contribute content and assist with the design briefing of presentation for first meetings

Attend meetings with Head of Commercial and brands


Business Responsibilities

Submit weekly progress report of telephone calls and meetings

Maintain a comprehensive and accurate log of brand decision maker contact details and sales activity

Build relationships with key decision makers at brands and cultivate pipeline of brands looking to invest in sports sponsorship

Regularly update Intel Team with information gathered from network of contacts and sales meetings

Develop innovative ideas for the improvement of the sponsorship sales process


You’ll need to be:

Able to travel on a regular basis 


You’ll need to have: 

At least five years experience in sponsorship salesA broad knowledge of the sport sponsorship landscape
