Deal Struck For International Defender

Sporting Group International India (SGII) are delighted to announce it has added another top player to its stable of footballers after an agreement was struck with Indian National defender Anas Edathodika to represent him.

Malappuram-born Edathodika had joined Jamshedpur FC in the first round of this season’s draft, becoming one of the league’s highest paid player in the process.

Previously the popular central defender has enjoyed stays at I-league sides Mumbai FC, Pune FC & Mohun Bagan and Delhi Dynamos in the ISL

Despite an injury ravaged season under the guidance of Steve Coppell, Edathodika has managed 549 minutes in 8 games this season.

“I am delighted to have signed with Sporting Group International who will look after my contractual affairs” Edathodika said.

SGII’s CEO Adrian Wright was delighted that the defender had agreed to join our well established stable of players now signed to the UK and India based agency:

Ricardo signs exclusive deal with Seismic

I-League goalkeeper Ricardo Cardozo has signed an exclusive deal to wear gloves for an international brand for the forthcoming season.

The 25-year old shot stopper, who joined I-League side Mohun Bagan from Churchill Brothers recently, has agreed a deal with Irish company Seismic who supply goalkeeper gloves and product to a number of sportspeople in the UK and Ireland.The ground-breaking deal, engineered by his commercial representatives Sporting Group International, will see Cardozo wearing the product for the forthcoming season.

 “It’s important as a goalkeeper you have gloves you feel comfortable wearing and give you confidence to perform in all conditions,” Cardozo said.

 “The Seismic gloves have felt fantastic in training.  I can’t wait to for the season to start.”

 Steve McCormack, of Seismic, said: “Our gloves are already hugely popular in Europe and  South America, so when the opportunity to expand into India arose, it was only a matter of finding the right keeper.  Ricardo was just who we wanted. Blues Defender Signs to Puma

Sporting Group International are delighted to announce one of its key players has signed an exclusive apparel and boot deal with a top global brand.

Bengaluru defender Rahul Bheke, 27, widely regarded as one of the best full-backs in the ISL last season, has agreed on a multi-year deal with German giants Puma.

The Mumbai-born defender will wear their product from the start of the new 2018/19 campaign

“I’m pleased to be once again wearing Puma product from the start of the new season,” Bheke said.

“Having worn their boots most of my career it, it feels great to be teaming up with them again.”

Anas Delighted To Be ‘Back Home’

Sporting Group International (SGI), are delighted to announce one of its key players, Anas Edathodika, has joined ISL giants Kerala Blasters.

The Malappuram born defender began his career in the I League with Mumbai before moving to rivals Pune FC in 2011.  Following four year spell at Pune, sandwiched between spells at ISL sides Delhi Dynamos and Jamshedpur he enjoyed a prosperous loan spell at Mohun Bagan which saw his performances awarded him the FPAI (Football Players Association of India) Player of the Year Award.  Subsequently, a call-up to the full Indian national side was forthcoming.

Family problems blighted much of last season at Jamshedpur, however Edathodika finished the campaign in fine form with, representing his country in the recent Intercontinental Cup triumph.

After much interest at home and abroad, the Indian international has signed a deal with his home state side and is set to become a key player for David James’ side as they look to improve on last season’s league position.

“I’m delighted to be ‘home’,” Edathodika beamed.  “Last season was a tough one for me personally, but I’m refreshed and ready to go again.  I feel I am now entering my prime and my ambition is to help Kerala to improve on last season’s finish.”

Sporting Group International India (SGII) are delighted to announce they have acquired the services of an Indian Goalkeeper to its ever-expanding roster of players.

Goalkeeper Ricardo Cardozo, 25, has agreed a deal for the UK and Delhi based agency to manage his contractual affairs

The Goa born shot stopper began his career at the renowned Tata Football Academy before signing for Bengaluru, then an I-League side, in 2013.  Cardozo was part of the Blues squad that lifted the Hero I-League title in 2014 and followed that with a second position twelve months later and a Hero Federation Cup title.

Following a twelve-month spell at Mumbai FC thereafter, the keeper signed for Goa based I-League side Churchill Brothers where he earned rave reviews for his performances despite being part of a side the struggled at the wrong end of the division.

Now out of contract, Cardozo will decide within the next few weeks as to which club he will play for next season.

“I am delighted to have signed with Sporting Group International who will look after my contractual affairs,” Cardozo said.

“They have earned themselves a good reputation in India for the professionalism, integrity and looking after the needs of their players.”

“I look forward to announcing my career plans very soon with the help of SGI.”

ATK Midfielder Signs To Management Agency

Sporting Group International India (SGII) are delighted to announce it has added another Indian footballer to its ever-growing roster.

ATK midfielder Darren Caldeira joins the UK and India based player agency who also boast his team-mate Jayesh Rane amongst their stable.

The Mumbai-born midfielder began his career at Mahindra United before enjoying spells at Air India, Mumbai FC, JSW Bengaluru FC and Chennai City .

The 30 year old made the move to the ISL with ATK at the start of the most recent campaign.

Caldeira, who was delighted to be joining the SGI family, said, “I am extremely happy to sign with Sporting Group International.  I have spoken to many people within the game and they come very highly recommended.

“I have aspirations to win honours in the game and to be a success. I look forward to working with SGI who will support me in achieving this aim.”

SGI India General Manager Pranay Kapuria added, “We are delighted to have Darren on board, he is a top pro and we will help him to find his next destination in Indian Football”.

Mumbai born star signs player management deal

NEW DELHI, INDIA, 27 February 2018 – Sporting Group International India (SGII) are delighted to announce that they have signed one of India’s top midfielder to its player roster.

Shilton D’Silva is currently plying his trade with I-League Kolkata based side Mohun Bagan, having previously enjoyed stints at Pailan Arrows and his hometown Mumbai FC.

The 25 year old midfielder has been honoured at every age group for the Indian national side (under -16, 19 and 23) as well as three appearances for the full international side.

“I have enjoyed my football this season with Mariners and I am now at the stage of my career where I need to keep progressing and reach the potential I am confident I have.

“My association with SGI will allow me to concentrate fully on my football and being the best I can be.  The guys who have also signed with SGI have been impressed with how well they have been looked after and been represented. 

“Together I feel we can achieve great things.”

Indian Super League stars sign groundbreaking boot deal

The Mumbai born pair have signed a multi-year deal with US sports powerhouse New Balance.

Striker Rane, a former under 23 Indian international, joined Indian Super League side ATK in the summer draft whilst defender Bheke has been earning rave reviews for current ISL league leaders Bengaluru FC.

The pair become the first Indian ISL players to sign to the brand.

“I am delighted to be linking up New Balance and being part of their strategic plan to increase their presence in Asia,” Rane said. 

“I’ve been wearing their boots since the start of the season, the look and feel fantastic.  Hopefully this will be a successful relationship for us, both on and off the pitch.”

Bheke echoed Rane’s comments: “I’ve been really impressed with the quality and comfort of New Balance’s boots; to perform at your best you have to feel the best you can on the pitch.  I know wearing New Balance boots will help me do just that.”

Defender Amin puts pen to paper on Jamshedpur FC deal

Karan, 28, has put pen to paper on a deal that will see the defender join the club as they look to improve their current league position.

Born and bred in Mumbai, the defender began his career through the youth ranks at Mahindra United, Air India and Mumbai FC. The Mumbaikar also represented and captained Maharashtra’s under-21 team.

Continuing his career at Mumbai FC and DSK Shivajians in the I-League, Amin has teamed up with Steve Coppell’s side on a deal through to the end of the current campaign.

Amin said:

SGI Appoint Kapuria To Its New Delhi Operation

NEW DELHI, INDIA – 19 January 2018 – Sporting Group International (SGI) are delighted to announce Pranay Kapuria as its new General Manager for their New Delhi operation.

Pranay, who hails from Mumbai, recently completed his Masters in International Business Studies at University of Wolverhampton in England, receiving a Distinction.

Whilst in the UK, Pranay combined his studies with a role at Sporting Group International as their Research and Social Media Executive.  After impressing during this period, Pranay was offered the role of General Manager at Sporting Group International India in New Delhi, a position he assumed earlier this week.

Pranay will be managing the SGI’s player management programme of its footballers who ply their trade in the Indian Super League which includes Bengalaru’s Rahul Bheke and ATK’s Jayesh Rane.

In addition to this Pranay will assume responsibility for the Youth Football India (YFI) and Delhi Youth Leagues in the city.

Pranay, 22, was delighted to take up the role:

“From my 18 months experience in the UK I have picked up a lot of knowledge on how we can replicate and improve our operation here in India.

“The appetite for football is increasingly at fast rate in India and, as a big football fan myself, I would love to see this increase further.   We have a fantastic operation here at YFI already, and it is my aim to improve this further.”

SGI’s Chief Executive Adrian Wright echoed Pranay’s sentiments and added:

“Pranay is a very gifted young man that has a real passion for football, what he doesn’t know about the Indian football landscape isn’t worth knowing. If it wasn’t for his understanding, knowledge and connections in India, SGI would not have ventured in the player representation market.
